About

I started reading at age four, and I have never stopped feeding my voracious habit for stories. I have read so many books that I could go back to the first book I ever read on my own (that would be “Peas, Cheese and Chocolate Pudding”) and read them all again and be just as delighted as the first time I read them.

I went to state university in pursuit of a science degree, but instead of spending my life searching for answers to the most fascinating questions in life, the truth of my real calling came to me with absolute clarity: I was a writer, and I should have known it all along. Vast collections of poetry, stories, journal entries, essays and letters filled the closets my life, and it was a giant clue I missed like an absent-minded fool with her glasses on her head, wondering where she put them.

Now at the mid-way point in my lifespan, I have decided to stop denying my true nature. It’s time to get serious and devote my full attention to writing, for the rest of my life. My heart is full and ready to pour out all the stories it’s been holding for so long. I don’t think there is any way to hold them back now.

Today, I live in a comfortable house in central Colorado, USA with my best friend and playmate: my husband. We are also blessed with four grown children who remind us how wonderful life is when you have family to share it with. I could not succeed at living my dream without their love and support.

One of my favorite authors once said:

If you write one story, it may be bad; if you write a hundred, you have the odds in your favor.
– Edgar Rice Burroughs

Please excuse me, I’ve got to get back to work now.
